Wow...this weekend was confusing. Let's see, late Friday night something bad/sad happened (don't know if i should say it here...so i won't).

On saturday, there was a party for my uncle. He's leaving for a year 'cause he's in the Army. Since his family lives out in Lancaster, all the parents decided that there should be a going-away party for the adults and a Halloween party for the kids. Pretty good stuff. All my aunts and uncles and baby cousins were there. At 10 the babies left (or fell asleep) so i got bored. Luckily, the "original six" (i.e., me, hill, my brother, and my three cousins: jill, jon, and jeremy) were still there. While the parents talked and drank and gambled, we played jill's mind games. It was something about a step, the moon, and hill's shoes...you pretty much had to be there to understand (then again...I didn't even get it...oh well). Then jon started dancing around like usher, jill kept chatting on the phone, jeremy was getting "beat up" by my brother, and hill and i kept yelling at each other for stepping on each other's shoes. At 11 we went to my cousins' house. On the way there, we watched Toy Story 2 and sang the theme song for Woody's Roundup. Good times. Got home at 12:30 and knocked out.

Today i woke up at 12...yup 11 1/2 hours of gooood sleep. At 2 my family and i went to the cemetery to visit my grandpa's grave (he passed away on 10/31/80). We said a quick prayer and went to Pasadena. My brother had tutoring, so my dad dropped me,my mom, and hill off at home. At about 6 we went back to my grandma's house. On saturday, me and hill promised to take my baby cousins trick-or-treating, so today at 7:30 we started walking around the neighborhood. Walked around for about an hour and then went back home to count candy. My baby cousins are so cute (and i barely use that word to describe anything). Timmy dressed up as BUZZ LIGHTYEAR; Sarah was MULAN; Rachel dressed up as TINKERBELL; Jason was "your friendly neighborhood SPIDERMAN"; Catherine was dressed up as Cinderella; and Andrew (AJ, my little buddy) was a puppy.  Oh man...i got so many pictures of AJ and Timmy. Hopefully i can upload them tonight on myspace. Oh yeah...my other two cousins: Justin and Jasmine didn't get to go, but on saturday Justin was another Spideyman and Jasmine was the pink CareBear...you know with the little heart on its butt. Anyway, that was my weekend...now it's time to do homework and start another week.

This weekend was pretty awesome. On Saturday, i went to Elite and i realized that i like going there. Randall, my critical reading teacher, is awesome--we talked about UCLA and how donating a million dollars to ANY university is a guaranteed way to be accepted even if you're a total dumbarse. Austin, my grammar teacher, wasn't there but still the sub was pretty cool--unfortunately, we still had to write an essay. My practice test scores went up too (yay for me). I didn't improve by a lot, but at least i know i'm actually getting something out of going to the class. Went home at 3:30, did laundry, did some homework, watched a lot of TV, and took a nap. At 10 my dad said that we need to buy a new washer, so we went online and found one that he likes--it has a lot of buttons so i'll have more fun doing laundry cause buttons are fun to press. Stayed up for a couple more hours and then slept at 1:30AM.

Today, i woke up at 2...DUDE, that's like 12 1/2 hours of good sleep!!! Anyway, at 3:30 hill, my mom, and i went shopping. We were only supposed to buy school supplies, but we ended up buying new bed sheets, pillows, and blankys (blankets). HEHEHE...hill got Spiderman and i got Finding Nemo. Then we went to TOTO's (some filipino restaurant) to get food, went home, ate, and then left again--this time it was me, my dad, and hill. We went to Barnes and Noble cause hill needed one book for english class...we ended up buying three. Oh well, i'm happy and hill's happy...she got a story about the Lady Vols and Pat Summit (NCAA Women's b-ball) and i got one about Allen Iverson.

Now i'm back here...typing. Still got laundry and LOTS of homework to finish so i guess i'll go.

first "week" of school is already over...thank god. maybe it's just me, but everything seems kinda different. anyway, so far junior year is alright. still trying to adapt to the classes.

Spanish 3: so far ms. page's style of teaching seems waaay different from mr. guerrero's. hill got guerrero and for some crazy reason i'd rather be in his class again. today, we did sentence completion and i sucked at it...man i couldn't remember how to conjugate verbs, and i couldn't put sentences together. kinda makes me worried that i might not do good.
Algebra 2: mr. yan seems cool, but the dude's got a loud voice. i think i'll actually stay awake in a math class for once in my life. he's pretty funny too cause he kinda mumbles to himself once in awhile. anyway, today we took our first test. i forgot how to do some stuff and i blanked out on 2 or 3 questions. uh oh.
Chemistry: today we watched a demo about chemicals and how they can screw up your clothes. pretty cool stuff. de leon's cool, down-to-earth, he kinda acts like a big kid. i think this will be my kickback class.
History: mr. beaty...hmm...he's cool i guess. he's got a way of making history seem more fun. way better than mcguire's class. i think i'll do alright if i procrastinate less.
English: still in AP...but i feel bad about something (can't say...only one person really knows). turns out, ms. watt is a really nice teacher. very understanding...even if she's a little loopy. today we did a diagnostic timed free-response essay. did really bad...didn't even do a paragraph. hopefully, ms. watt's class will help me out with my writing problems.
Basketball: not the same. kinda sucks. connie said that since it's only service, i could ask jacobson to just let me go home right after 5th period...i told her i'd think about it. everything about 6th sucks and things are definitely akward between me and redford...summer made me realize A LOT of stuff--especially that i'm gullible and that going to summer sessions was a waste of time...oh well.

oh yeah...today my little brother found out that he got in. he starts school on monday. sucks that all three of us (me, hill, and daniel) are in the same school...again. my uncle already called and told me, "i know you're probably not happy that your brother's gonna be around you, but for the first couple of weeks DON'T be a dick to him." nice huh? i won't be mean to him (i think?)...i'll treat him like i treat hill. honestly i'm kinda glad he got into eagle rock...it's more comforting to know that if anyone bullies him it'll most likely be me (and possibly hill)...not some kid from Franklin or Lincoln.

YESSS!!! no classes with my sister...except basketball. Anyway, only 8 more days 'til school starts and 7 more days to finish homework. Tomorrow morning we're leaving for Las Vegas...but we'll be back by friday night cause i started SAT prep classes on saturdays. Man...finally a chance to get out of L.A. and we'll only be gone for two days. I guess that's really all i have to say.

Today made up for yesterday and all the negative stuff. Let's see...

1)  I brought my CDs to school so this time around i didn't have to hear that Jessica Simpson song again.
2)  I kinda started my summer homework--at least i opened up the book and glanced at the writing assignments--but for sure i'll start this weekend.
3)  I finished typing my autobiography and all i have to do now is add the pictures tomorrow morning.
4)  I talked to Rachel at nutrition about the whole basketball thing. She's pretty cool...she gave me a good pep talk...thanks dude .

Random stuff:

Today while i was working on the adobe stuff Mr. Amiri sent me a message thingy that said: "Cellene, may i please see you"... yup i got in trouble...no j/k. Actually, i thought i was in trouble for something that alyssa and amber made me do *ahem* cheaters *ahem* , but it turned out that he was just rechecking grades and i forgot to turn in some stuff . Anyway, i have an A in the class and he said i'm doing a good job so i'm a happy camper.

Yes!!! Ceramics class is almost over...just three more classes and i'm done. On monday i'll be busy decorating bowls and stuff...man i wish i was creative like Sue, Dena, Jib, and sometimes Lauren. Oh yeah, Ms. Cooper said we're gonna have a party on thursday and then on friday we'll take our final exam. She said it's pretty easy but i guess i'll have to make the final judgement on that.

Okay, now Hill's being a big baby and is trying to kick me off the computer. I still have to look for pictures for the autobiography, do laundry, burn CDs for my cousin, and go to sleep (thank god tomorrow is friday)...bye.
